One-Stop-Shop For City Parking Citations, Appeals And Permitting Set To Open As part of the continuing efforts by the city of Las Vegas to make parking more convenient, a new parking services office will provide a one-stop-shop for parking-related issues. The new office is located along Main Street inside the City Hall garage at 500 S. Main St., and opens at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, May 6.

Goodwill Donation Center Placed At Veterans Memorial Leisure Services Center Councilman Beers recently helped celebrate the installation of a Goodwill donation center at the Veterans Memorial Leisure Services Center. The city of Las Vegas is partnering with Goodwill on this donation center, which will create two full-time jobs for the Goodwill.

Le Cordon Bleu Councilman Beers toured the world-renowned cooking school offering a two-year program in Summerlin. Students from all over the United States come to Las Vegas to attend the school.

Citizen of the Month – March 2013 Councilman Beers and the City Council recognized the American Legion Auxiliary Junior Unit #14 as the March 2013 Citizen of the Month. One member won National recognition for her contributions.

Touring The Water Pollution Control Facility Councilman Beers toured the city’s state-of-the-art water pollution control facility, which treats wastewater before it is returned to Lake Mead.
