Michael Way Temporarily Closes To Traffic North Of Madre Mesa Drive As Flood Control Improvement Project Continues
| |
Traffic disruptions can be expected as work on a $4 million flood control improvement project continues in the area of Jones Boulevard and Michael Way, just north of Madre Mesa Drive. Construction started in February and the project will take approximately 11 months to complete. Starting Monday, March 24, and continuing through the next four weeks, Michael Way will be completely closed to traffic between Sheila Avenue and Avenida Caballo. Traffic lane restrictions may also be in effect on Jones Boulevard, between Peak Drive and Brooks Avenue. While work is underway on Michael Way and Jones Boulevard, Rainbow Boulevard and Rancho Drive/Decatur Boulevard are suggested as alternate routes for through north-south travel. JNJ Engineering Construction, Inc. is the contractor for the project that is being managed by the city of Las Vegas Department of Public Works. Funding is provided by the Clark County Regional Flood Control District.
