An ambitious project to repave Summerlin Parkway is scheduled to start at approximately 8 p.m. on Friday, May 16. Crews plan to work double shifts to complete the $2 million improvement project as quickly as possible.
Temporary traffic lane restrictions and temporary ramp closures can be expected as crews repave Summerlin Parkway from U.S. 95 near Rainbow Boulevard, proceeding west to the 215 Beltway which is a distance of approximately six miles. In addition to removing and replacing the pavement on Summerlin Parkway, a much-needed third westbound travel lane will be added from U.S.95 to Buffalo Drive to improve traffic flow.
Traffic lane restrictions will be in effect in work zones according to the following schedule:

The southbound U.S. 95 off-ramp to westbound Summerlin Parkway will be closed both days. The suggested alternate route for east-west travel is Lake Mead Boulevard, and Rainbow is suggested for north-south travel. The eastbound Buffalo off-ramp will be closed from 8 p.m. on Saturday through 8 p.m. Sunday. The westbound Buffalo on and off-ramps will be closed both days.
