General information about the incident:  Las Vegas firefighters responded to a reported house fire in the community of Corn Creek which is located in unincorporated Clark County, approximately 30 miles northwest of downtown Las Vegas on U.S. 95. Numerous calls were received of a large fire in the desert; a large column of smoke could also be seen.  When firefighters arrived, they found the house fully involved. There is no water in the immediate area so water had to be trucked into the scene. There were no reported injuries. The incident is under investigation by Clark County fire investigators. Further information about the incident, damage estimate or cause will be released by the Clark County Fire Department.
