General information about the incident:  No one home at time of fire. One of the occupants came home and neighbors told him that smoke alarm had been going off for a while. When he entered the apartment he found the kitchen smoldering from fire. Fire appears to have started on stove, extended to cabinets; damage confined to the stove area.  Heavy black smoke damage throughout rest of apartment.
