City Adds Business Licensing To The Development Services Center
“One-Stop-Shop” Services Further Expanded

The city of Las Vegas has expanded the services of the Development Services Center by adding a business license application location. It is operated by the Business Services Division of the Finance & Business Services Department. This new service enables those operating certain types of businesses to have their business license application processed and their business location reviewed for city code compliance at a single location.

Most home-based businesses can file their city business license applications at this location rather than at City Hall. Privilege and regulated licenses that require background investigations and special license cards, such as massage and reflexology licenses, will still need to apply at City Hall. 

Construction contractors who need local business licenses in order to obtain building permits can also apply at the new Development Services Center location. 

The Development Services Center is located at 731 S. Fourth St. The new Business Services desk is open Monday through Friday until 4 p.m. The hours of operation at the Development Services Center are 8 a.m. to Noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m. daily except on Wednesdays when the Development Services Center opens at 8:30 a.m. For more information about business licenses, including privilege and regulated licenses, please go to “Apply for Licenses” at www.lasvegasnevada.gov.
