City Of Las Vegas Recognizes Batteries Included Program
City Council To Also Show Support For Military Members And Their Families

The city of Las Vegas will recognize the Batteries Included program for helping Las Vegas teens get involved with their city at the Wednesday, Oct. 21, City Council meeting, which will take place at 9 a.m. in City Hall council chambers, located at 400 Stewart Ave.
The program improves and cultivates the next generation of leaders, and is co-sponsored by the city of Las Vegas, the Clark County School District and Nevada Partners.
The city of Las Vegas will also recognize the Army Community Covenant in support of those serving in the military and their families. In addition, the Clark High School Navy Jr. ROTC will be honored at the meeting by Councilwoman Lois Tarkanian. The students are scheduled to perform drill routines on the plaza outside of council chambers beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
The City Council will also recognize the October Employee of the Month and the Senior of the Quarter.
