Las Vegas Municipal Court Converts To New Computer System
Court Will Be Closed Nov. 11-13

Las Vegas Municipal Court is converting to a new case management computer system that will increase efficiency and accommodate the court’s growing caseload. To facilitate a smooth transition to the new system, the court will be closed starting on Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11, through Friday, Nov. 13, 2009. This will include all front counters, phones, courtrooms and other public operations.

The only exception will be “court ordered” classes such as Domestic Violence, Petit Larceny, DUI, etc., which will be held at their regularly scheduled times on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Citizens with citations in the Las Vegas Municipal Court are encouraged to take care of their court business prior to the Wednesday, Nov. 11, closure. They can also go online at www.lasvegasnevada.gov/MunicipalCourt to pay fines and obtain other information. The Las Vegas Municipal Court, which is located in the Regional Justice Center at 200 Lewis Avenue, will re-open for business on Monday, Nov. 16, at 8 a.m.

The new, customized Windows-based computer system will allow the Las Vegas Municipal Court to more efficiently complete internal business processes as well as position the court to take advantage of new technologies being developed to better serve the residents of the Las Vegas valley.

All city of Las Vegas offices will be closed in observance of Veterans Day on Nov. 11.
