The city of Las Vegas invites area teens ages 13-18 to Xtreme Game Night Saturday, July 28, at Cimarron Rose Community Center, located at 5591 N. Cimarron Road. From 5:30 to 9 p.m., youth will enjoy laser tag, dodge ball, water activities, video games and hamster balls provided by Games2U Entertainment, as well as refreshments, music and awards. Youth also will be able to visit information booths with topics of interest to teens and sign up for teen councils available throughout the city of Las Vegas. Participants will receive a free gift.
Participants are asked to bring a donation of two cans of soup or other canned foods. The event will be hosted by city of Las Vegas Parks, Recreation & Neighborhood Services.
"Batteries Included Teen Councils have a goal of collecting 2012 food items this summer to donate to an area food bank," said Mayor Pro Tem Stavros S. Anthony. "Xtreme Game Night is a great opportunity for Las Vegas teenagers to have a fabulous, fun night out for free, to make new friends who have similar interests, to learn about teen councils and other great programs the city of Las Vegas has to offer — and to be a part of the team that will achieve their goal of collecting food for our community neighbors who don't have enough. Where else can you spend a Saturday night that can do all that?"
