City Of Las Vegas Safekey Registration Begins August 13
Registration For Before- and After-School Program Is For 2012-2013 School Year

Online registration for Safekey for the 2012-2013 school year begins on Aug. 13. Safekey is a before- and after-school recreational enrichment program that is offered at 68 Clark County School District elementary schools within the city of Las Vegas.

There is an annual $10 Safekey registration fee per child. To waive the fee, families must complete two enrollment steps by Friday, Aug. 24. First, a participant information form for your household must be submitted to the Safekey office, the two-story white house on the northwest corner of the All American Park, located at 1651 S. Buffalo Drive. Note: the office will be closed Aug. 13-15.

Second, to register and pay, use one of the following options:

• Online at http://recreation.lasvegasnevada.gov beginning Aug. 13
• In person at the Safekey office – beginning Aug. 16 – office hours: Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• By phone at (702)229-3399 – beginning Aug. 16

Safekey will operate as a pre-paid program where every participant must have a valid pass before they can attend. Any child without a valid pass will be sent to the school’s office for parent pick-up. Payments will no longer be accepted at city Safekey school sites, and fees have changed to daily rates for both morning and afternoon passes. Refunds, credits and/or transfers will not be granted for the Safekey program.

For your Safekey site fee information or for other questions please contact the Safekey office at (702)229-3399 or visit www.lasvegasparksandrec.com.

Safekey follows the school district calendar and operates on days that school is in session. Program hours and cost vary by site. Financial assistance may be available for qualifying participants who live within the city of Las Vegas boundaries. Participants can look forward to another fun and exciting school year filled with Coordinated Approach To Child Health (CATCH) Kids Club activities, games, crafts, theme weeks, contests, homework assistance and nutritious snacks.
