Mayor Oscar B. Goodman Delivers The 2009 State Of The City Address

Mayor Oscar B. Goodman delivered his annual State of the City Address to more than 350 guests at the recently renovated Historic Fifth Street School. Mayor Goodman reflected on the past year and many of the city’s accomplishments such as the renovation of the Historic Fifth Street School and the addition of a badly-needed grocery store to west Las Vegas. He also looked forward stressing the importance of investing in downtown Las Vegas as a way to stimulate the economy.

The city also debuted its 2008 Annual Report at the speech. In keeping with the city’s sustainability initiative, and to save paper and costs, the report was not printed. Instead the report is available for online viewing at www.lasvegasnevada.gov/2008annualreports.
