“Historical Journey into Jazz” Exhibition

“Altered States: Artists Re-imagine the Book” Exhibition

Curated by Los Angeles-based artist and designer, Joseph Shuldiner, the artists included in the exhibit are Tor Archer, Alisa Banks, Doug Beube, Elile Brown, Shannon Freshwater, Jessica Holada, Lisa Kokin, Alexander Korzer-Robinson, Guy Laramee, Emily Sandor and Jill Sylvia. This exhibit has been programmed as part of the events associated with the Vegas Valley Book Festival and is funded in part by a grant from the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. Beginning and Intermediate Computer Classes (adults)
Tuesdays and Fridays 4 to 6 p.m., 6 to 8 p.m.
Fee: $20 for 6 classes, plus $2 annual membership fee.

Beginner classes on Fridays teach basic computer usage and Microsoft Word Pad software. Intermediate classes on Tuesdays learn Microsoft Works, Microsoft Word and using the Internet. Instructor Carlos Pavon limits class to 8 people.
