<STRONG>Description:</STRONG> More than 100 Las Vegas-area residents from 35 former countries, took the Oath of Allegiance and became U.S. citizens during a special ceremony hosted by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the city of Las Vegas. • 2009 Celebrate America Naturalization Ceremony
<STRONG>Topic:</STRONG>  Seniors from five of the city’s senior housing developments participated in the first "Senior Town Hall."  The town hall was hosted by Ward 1 Councilwoman Lois Tarkanian and moderated by Communications Director David Riggleman. The seniors were invited to lead the panel in a discussion about seniors and what services and programs are available to them from the city of Las Vegas, Clark County and other agencies. Joining Councilwoman Tarkanian and the seniors for the 58 minute live program was Mayor Oscar B.
